John Driscoll Sensei holds the rank of Yondan in Aikido (4th Degree Black Belt) awarded by the Aikikai, the world headquarters of Aikido.  He is a Shidoin (certified instructor) issued by the Takemusu Aikido Association under the auspices of the Aikai.  In addition to his rank in Aikido, Driscoll Sensei possesses yudansha ranks, black belts in Kodokan Judo and Isshin Ryu Karatedo, and practices Toyama Ryu Battodo, the art of drawing and cutting with a Japanese sword. He is a retired Federal law enforcement officer with more than 35 years in law enforcement, who lived, trained and taught Japanese martial arts more than ten of those years in Asia.
